Jordan Brand has designed a player-exclusive sneaker for the University of North Carolina basketball team that follows in the footsteps of their “First Class” Jordan 4 crafted for its WNBA athletes last year—and it’s just as drool-worthy. Introducing the Air Jordan 4 ‘UNC’ PE.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The University of North Carolina’s 2025 PE design boasts tonal blue premium leather uppers with a gorgeous stingray texture on the tongue and mudguard. There are also numerous gilded accents throughout the sneaker, including “UNC” inscribed lace dubraes and two-sided gold tongue tags that reference both Jordan Brand and the university’s own insignia. Of course, we can’t overlook the pair’s standout feature: small diamond gems engraved on the tongue and heel to replace the Jumpman’s regular basketball. It was a design element that generated plenty of discussion around the “First Class” Jordan 4 PE pair from 2024 and is still the most noteworthy feature of this new “UNC” pair.
What We Like About The Sneakers
This is not your average Air Jordan 4. Even though most AJ4s are already very drool-worthy, the plush materials, gilded embellishments, and diamond gems put these kicks in a class of their own. It’s an excellent example of the adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”—just switch things up a little.
