The pair features a jagged leather overlay made of white snakeskin, inspired by the masks of lucha libre wrestlers. What To Expect From The Air Jordan 3 “MEX” Pack
Sneaker Market Romania has unveiled a new Air Jordan 3 colourway inspired by the Mexican Day of Independence. This unique design features a captivating colour scheme of Sail, Pine Green, Dragon Red, Metallic Gold, and Summit White. The collection also includes a ‘Black’ and ‘Metallic Silver’ pair that was leaked late last year.
While little is known about the materials used or design details, sneakerheads should expect something similar to the 2024 Air Jordan 5 “El Grito” release. If you can recall, the AJ 5 boasted embossed details on the tongue, heel, and toe; laser-cut leather instead of netting; and special “VIVA” lace dubraes referencing Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla’s speech from September 16, 1810.
What We Like About The Sneakers
Given the stark contrast between these two colourways, we can’t help but wonder if the upcoming pack is a tribute to both Dia de los Muertos and the Mexican Day of Independence. While most leakers attribute both designs to the Day of Independence, the lack of concrete confirmation leaves room for speculation. Regardless of the inspiration behind each colourway, these pairs will be a worthy addition to any collection, especially if Jordan Brand maintains the refined and intricate feel of their Air Jordan 5 ‘El Grito’ from last year.
Release Details
Both AJ3 designs are set to be released on September 30, 2025, through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan stores. Each pair costs $200 USD for men’s sizes, but full family sizing should be available.
