Deadpool and Wolverine was one of the most anticipated flicks of the year, and there were plenty of gorgeous shoe designs to honour the occasion. So, let’s take a closer look at one of our favourites from this year: Sean Fontenot’s ‘Deadpool’ Air Jordan 1 Highs.

A Closer Look At The Design
Like most Deadpool-themed sneakers, this design uses a colour scheme of red, black, and brown inspired by the anti-hero’s suit. The details, however, are what really set this pair apart. Fontenot has incorporated Hello Kitty graphics, 3D bullet casings, and realistic bullet holes throughout the design. However, the adamantium katana-style swooshes that adorn the sides of this pair are our fave element. Finally, brown leather laces and paint-splattered smiley face lace dubraes are the finishing touches to this sneaker tribute to the Merc with a Mouth.
What We Like About The Sneakers
The intricacies of these customs are spot on. While we understand that official releases may not be able to take this approach with their designs, we can’t help but admire the amount of ingenuity and thought that can go into a custom piece, and this pair doesn’t disappoint. They are chaotic in the best way- just like Deadpool himself.
Is The “Deadpool” Air Jordan 1 High Available For Purchase?
While the ‘Deadpool’ Air Jordan 1 High is a one-of-a-kind design, Fontenot also offers commissioned pairs starting at $500 USD. However, more elaborate designs can cost $1250 USD or more. For a detailed quote, you can reach out to him personally through his website or Instagram.
