Sneakerheads have long imagined the magic that could unfold from a collab between luxury powerhouse Louis Vuitton and the iconic Air Jordan brand. Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of custom designs and concepts draped in LV’s classic monogram materials. But Clément Petit of Small Customs offers a more understated look at what an LV and JB partnership could hold.

The design perfectly balances the aesthetics of Louis Vuitton and Jordan Brand. There’s not too much of one or the other. You get uppers made of smooth white leather and light brown leather touches on the toe and heel. Plus, there’s some added texture thrown in on the tan suede strip that runs from the eyestays to the heel.

But the pièce de résistance of this design is the iconic LV monogrammed leather at the ankle flaps. This material was sourced from a vintage monogrammed tarpaulin bag that was no longer in use.
This sneaker also offers a small tribute to Virgil Abloh and Off-White. There are deconstructed Swooshes stitched with vibrant yellow thread and decorated with tiny gold LV buttons, as well as leather zip ties.

Finishing touches include a clean white midsole, a brown rubber outsole, and extra gold accents on the aglets.
We think this sneaker is a unique addition to the lineup of Louis Vuitton x Jordan 1 customs. Unlike other designs entirely covered in the luxury brand’s monogrammed leather, Small Customs has kept the look balanced and understated.

Unfortunately, this creation was a one-of-one design made for a specific client. However, if you’d like your own understated take on an LV x Jordan 1, you can contact the custom sneaker artist via Instagram or email at contact.smallcustom@gmail.com.
