Michael Jordan’s fifth signature sneaker, designed by Nike icon Tinker Hatfield, will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2025. To commemorate this important milestone, the Jumpman brand is offering sneakerheads a number of special designs throughout the year, from in-line releases and new collaborations to coveted retro colourways. Let’s take a look at the exciting Air Jordan 5 lineup for 2025.
Air Jordan 5 “Golden Ticket” 2025

This women’s exclusive Air Jordan 5, aptly named the “Golden Ticket”, features a Muslin leather upper with Metallic Gold tongues and Earth Brown highlights.
Air Jordan 5 “Year of the Snake”

Jordan Brand has created a special AJ5 sneaker in tonal cream to commemorate the 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year. However, the sneaker has textured tongues and a spectacular rainbow Sharktooth design on the midsole in honour of this year’s zodiac sign, the slithery snake.
Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” (Reimagined)

Michael Jordan’s classic AJ5 “Black Metallic” colourway has been reimagined with a reflective 3M finish on the edging and clean white laces. The lace change from the customary black to white is a reference to the way the GOAT wore his kicks during a 1990 playoff appearance.
Air Jordan 5 “Grape” 2025

2025 will see the release of the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” in true-to-original style. This means the same white leather uppers, purple and teal embellishments, and Nike Air branding at the heel. Plus, it is said to be closer in shape to the original 1990 design.
Air Jordan 5 “Luminous Green”

Ladies, get ready for a treat! An exclusive Sail, Anthracite, and Luminous Green-coloured AJ5 is set to be released this year, another special nod to the female sneakerhead community.
Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 “Arctic Pink”

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5’s debut, Awake NY collaborated with Jordan Brand to create a special sneaker design in Arctic Pink, Metallic Silver, University Red, Black, White and Clear. In addition to references to New York City, the pair has an embroidered Awake logo on the tongue and a giant “A” logo over the side netting.
Air Jordan 5 OG “Fire Red” (Black Tongue) 2025

2025 will see Jordan Brand’s iconic Fired Red (Black Tongue) AJ5 sneaker return in full-family sizing. Expect the same black satin tongues, white leather uppers, and the iconic Nike Air logo on the heel.
A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Violet Ore”

This year’s AJ5 collaboration between Jordan and luxury streetwear brand A Ma Maniére will offer sneakerheads a White, Black, Violet Ore, and Burgundy Crush AJ5 style. The design also has the same premium fabrics, semi-translucent netting, and quilted interiors for which AMM is now renowned.
Air Jordan 5 “Metallic Gold” 2025

This AJ5 was created especially for female sneakerheads and features Metallic Gold, Brilliant Orange, Sail, and Muslin shades.
Air Jordan 5 “Pale Ivory”

The whimsical “Pale Ivory” sneaker is designed for the younger sneakerheads. The shoe also includes Fusion Red, Desert, Rush Fuchsia, and White hues.
Air Jordan 5 “35th Anniversary”

In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the AJ5, Jordan Brand is also planning a special in-line release that will be available to sneaker enthusiasts of all ages. The shoes replicate the colour blocking of the “Fire Red” AJ5s but use a pastel pink instead.
Air Jordan 5 “Wings”

Jordan Brand is set to unveil a new AJ5 design for its “Wings” series, featuring a refined palette of Medium Grey, Black, and Metallic Silver.
Air Jordan 5 “Yellow/Multi-Colour”

There are rumours that this “Yellow/Multi-Colour” AJ5 design could be a nod to the 2011 “Tokyo 23” Air Jordan 5, but we’ll only know for sure once colour blocking and details are confirmed.
PSG x Air Jordan 5 “Off-Noir”

Paris Saint-Germain and Jordan Brand are set to unveil two new PSG x Air Jordan sneakers later this year, one being a luxurious AJ5 covered in Off Noir, Particle Rose, Anthracite, Pearl Pink, and Sail hues. See more amazing Air Jordan 5 releases.
