A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The shoe’s base is made of snakeskin leather with black and white stripes, reflecting the look of the iconic ghoul’s striped suit.
From there, the overlays are then covered in white tumbled leather with green paint splatters to resemble the character’s moulding skin.
The design also has mismatched side Swooshes, with Travis Scott’s trademark reverse check logos in metallic green and the standard Nike checks in metallic purple. Of course, these relate back to Beetlejuice’s signature hair colour and the dark rings surrounding his eyes.
Finally, a black rubber outsole and a white midsole complement the overall colour scheme.
What We Like About The Sneakers
We can think of a number of ways the black and white snakeskin leather on this design relates back to the original movie. First of all, there’s a clear allusion to Beetlejuice’s striped suit and even the famous Sandworm figure from the movie. However, it could also subtly allude to the sequence in which the titular character transforms into a gigantic snake in an effort to frighten the Deetz’s. We are sure many of the movie’s fans will appreciate this clever touch, we certainly do.
