With the exciting release of the new animated film Transformers One scheduled for September 2024, we’re eagerly anticipating more thrilling sneaker collaborations between Nike and the Transformers franchise. In the meantime, sneaker designer Dariyn Enriquez of @dope_don_designs has taken matters into his own hands by creating a concept Air Jordan 1 “Optimus Prime” that raises the bar for future collaborations.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker
This concept “Optimus Prime” sneaker design flaunts dark blue quarter panels with striking red flame details running up the side. The toe box, on the other hand, highlights a blue flame decal set against a gradient backdrop of yellow, orange, and red.
From there, smokey grey wraps the overlays, giving the sneaker a distinctly robotic feel. The design also includes black Swooshes, heel tabs, inner lining, and laces. And to round the tribute off, the iconic red Transformers logo is proudly featured on the heel.
Finally, the upper rests on a black midsole and grey rubber outsole, providing the perfect finishing touches to this stylish design.
What We Like About The Sneakers
This sneaker stands out as a more mature take on the Dunk High Transformers “Optimus Prime” from 2009, thanks to the deep smokey grey hue on the overlays. Plus, the gradient effect on the toe box adds an eye-catching element to the overall aesthetic, making it a fitting tribute to the Autobot leader.
