Nike will release a new Air Jordan 6 design this year to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Doernbecher Freestyle Program.

A Closer Look At The Design
The Air Jordan 6 model was last included in the Doernbercher collection in 2019 to celebrate the program’s 15th anniversary. Of course, this navy and red pair was simply a re-release of a design created by Jordan Dark back in 2009.
Although we haven’t seen a new Air Jordan 6 Doernbecher design in a while, the upcoming colourway in white, pink, light blue, lilac, soft teal, and gold is definitely something to look forward to.
The sneakers feature white overlays, a shimmering gold tongue, and corresponding gold lace locks. However, each shoe has a unique base colour; the right shoe is soft pink, while the left is primarily blue.
Heart-shaped cutouts have been added in place of the customary perforations on the leather uppers, and the word “Give Life” is written in purple cursive at the toe. Finally, the pair is finished with a translucent outsole beneath and a teal and pink midsole.
What We Like About the Sneakers
This new colourway gives the Air Jordan 6 silhouette a playful appearance by dousing itself in pastel hues. Not to mention adorable accents like heart cutouts and glittery tongues. This design would have been every young girl’s dream pair in the ’90s, making it ideal for the current retro sneaker craze. And did we also mention that there will be a range of lace choices to match the colours of the shoe?
Air Jordan 6 Doernbecher Release Details
The entire “Doernbecher” collection will be formally unveiled on October 18, 2024. Details regarding the retail launch should follow shortly after.
