While there’s no official collaboration between the iconic artist KAWS and the legendary Air Jordan brand on the horizon, custom sneaker artist John Trottier steps in to bridge the gap with his own vision of a KAWS x Air Jordan 1 High design.

A Closer Look at the Design
This concept sneaker draws heavily from the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 released in 2017 but introduces several fresh elements.
The upper is constructed from the same rich, grey textured suede, but the unique fist motifs are accentuated in a deeper black hue.
Adding a splash of vibrancy, the inner lining features bold pink accents while the Swooshes boast a striking blend of yellow and blue, enlivening the otherwise grey silhouette.
In true KAWS fashion, Donnelly’s unmistakable “XX” emblem appears on the tongue as well as on the mudguard. The design is rounded off with a black midsole and a grey rubber outsole, harmonising the shoe’s overall aesthetic.
Why We Love These Sneakers
Trottier’s rendition draws attention to Brian Donnelly’s iconic hand graphics with stark black highlights. This feature stands out, spotlighting the pattern more prominently than its 2017 predecessor. Let’s face it, we’re all fans of those little KAWS details.
Is the KAWS x Air Jordan 1 High Available for Purchase?
Sadly, this stunning pair remains a concept for now, with no official KAWS x Air Jordan 1 collaboration in the pipeline either. However, you might want to send Trottier a direct message or an email to see if there’s any chance of getting your hands on a custom made pair.
