This custom Air Jordan “Super 4” sneaker by Clément Petit places a spotlight on the design of the beloved Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

The colour scheme is a perfect match for the SNES console. You have grey nubuck uppers with dark grey accents to mimic the outer casing. But, of course, there’s plenty of added details to make this feel like even more of a homage to the entertainment system. For starters, the shoe features a second lacing system made of black plastic that makes reference to the SNES controller cords. Clément has also kept the heel and wing tabs in a matching black.

As for the finer features of the design, the shoes are adorned with actual buttons from both the controller and the console. The power and reset buttons are added on the heel tabs, while the red, green, yellow, and blue buttons are placed on the sides. Finally, the insoles honour two of the most epic and loved Super Nintendo games: Street Fighter II and Super Mario World.
It’s impossible not to admire the attention to detail that Clément Petit poured into creating these beautiful sneakers. Every aspect of the shoes feels like the perfect nod to the old Super Nintendo console and even its gaming library. We especially appreciate the addition of the pressable controller buttons and console features. We’d probably be playing with those buttons all day.
