The Freddy Krueger SB Dunks from 2007 are among the most infamous and sought-after sneaker releases of all time. Although sneaker artists have reimagined the sneaker in a variety of creative ways throughout the years, Jake Danklefs’ Air Jordan 3 “Freddy Krueger” is undoubtedly one of our favourites.

In a way, the custom shoe offers an inverted take on the original SB Dunk design. Instead of a stripey base inspired by the villain’s sweater, you get off-white tumbled leather. The red and green stripes are reserved solely for the toe, heel, eyelets, and collar.

The horror concept is then amplified by dark crimson paint splatters across the upper and, of course, silver patent leather swooshes to represent Freddy’s metal claws. Finally, the pair finishes off with a vintage-style midsole and a grey rubber outsole below.
