A Closer Look At The Design
First off, a subtle nod to Oogie Boogie’s burlap sack appearance can be found in the light brown canvas material used for the base. The overlays are then embellished with an exquisite, colourful, and detailed collage effect created by printing images of several of the film’s characters onto leather. The heel of the shoe then has additional references to characters like Jack, Sally, and Zero, who can also be spotted as tiny hang tags hanging at the sides of the shoe. Finally, black laces, tan leather Swooshes, plus a sail and black sole unit complete the pair’s refined look.
What We Like About the Sneakers
The design reminds us of the “Paris” Nike SB Dunks from 2002 but given a spooky Nightmare Before Christmas theme. We love the vibrant collage effect created on the overlays. Plus, the fact that it was printed onto leather material rather than your typical canvas or cotton fabric certainly adds a luxe touch. It’s a beautiful nod to the characters and definitely a design we’d like to see make it to the masses.
