This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Ninja Turtles, and fans have enjoyed a number of nostalgic collectables in honour of the beloved brothers. Yet, the sneaker artists at Mad Alice (@madalice.au) have expanded this assortment with their unofficial “Ninja Turtles” Air Jordan 1 custom sneakers.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Raphael was the inspiration for this specific design, which includes a light green colour scheme on the base, dark green overlays with shell patterns, and laces and medial check logos that feature his bandana’s red colour. However, you can also catch the rebels’ eyes peering out from the lateral Swooshes. Not to be overlooked are the cheese splatters scattered across the upper. Finally, the pair is finished with a “TMNT” tongue tag and a white midsole and outsole combination below.
What We Like About The Sneakers
As fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we appreciate any and every chance to wear these iconic characters on our feet. What we like best about this particular design is the shell pattern on the overlays, as well as the fact that they used tumbled leather to add to the shell-like effect. Of course, the use of cheesy goo graphics throughout the design is another nice nod to the heroes in a half-shell.
Where To Get The “Ninja Turtles” Air Jordan 1
These awesome “Ninja Turtles” Air Jordan 1 sneakers can be found on the Mad Alice website. Depending on preferences, you can choose between all four of the Turtle Brothers’ colours or even narrow it down to just one or two. The pair will set you back $350 USD for adult sizes, but there are kids’ sizes up for grabs, too.
