A Closer Look At The Design
Sneaker artist Javier Carabias Sánchez (@javier_carabias) created this stunning pair, which has a green suede base, matching toe panels, collars and eyestays. However, the artist has taken care to add a bit more personality by painting the turtles’ underbellies onto the toe flaps and adding a brown shell pattern at the heel. Yet, the most striking design feature on this pair is undeniably the Ninja Turtle’s eye masks individually featured on the lateral and medial ankle flaps, together with their clenched teeth underneath. You can spot Donatello’s and Michelangelo’s masks on one shoe and Leonardo’s and Raphael’s on the other. The Swooshes and tongues also continue the theme, with each turtle’s distinct colour scheme finding its way on their respective side. The look is then completed with a classic white midsole and a translucent purple outsole below.
What We Like About The Sneakers
The turtle brothers are still one of our favourite sneaker themes, and this design does a great job of capturing the quartet in a fun and unique way. You get bright colours, a suede base, and a subtle reference to each turtle’s trademark weapon. What more could a TMNT fan ask for?
