In 2025, Jordan Brand is set to bring back the iconic Jordan Spizike’ Bordeaux’ in a low-top iteration. This colourway, which garnered immense popularity upon its initial release, holds a special place in the model’s history as it was presented to former President Obama by Spike Lee during his 2012 visit to Harlem. A Closer Look At The Jordan Spizike Low “Obama”
The low-top “Obama” design retains the distinctive design elements that made the original “Bordeaux” such a standout. From the grey elephant print to the white tumbled leather uppers and the accents of blue, red, and yellow, each detail is a nod to the sneaker’s heritage. The insoles have a hint of green as well. However, the colour scheme has one minor tweak amid all the similarities.
A deeper shade of charcoal grey has replaced the light grey mudguards characteristic of the 2012 mid-design—the pair gifted to Obama.
Finally, Spike Lee’s unmistakable face branding and the 40 Acres and a Mule emblem offer their seal of approval on the heel.
What We Like About The Sneakers
Believe it or not, this colourway tops many a list for best Spizike colourways. Some younger sneakerheads may find it a little loud for their liking. However, OG fans will value the nostalgia and colour this design brings.
