Sneaker artist John Trottier has once again turned his creative eye to Travis Scott’s first signature sneakers for a fresh makeover. Though Trottier has previously drawn inspiration from Scott’s collaborations with Jordan Brand when dressing the Jumpman Jack silhouette, his latest creation is strongly influenced by one of the influential rapper’s key music industry mentors, Kanye West, and his legendary “College Dropout” album.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker
Drawing from the visual richness of Ye’s debut album cover, Trottier has crafted a truly striking pair.
The sneaker’s base is a beige canvas, complemented by dark brown leather overlays on the toe and heel. This is further accentuated by vibrant red leather on the eyestays and heel, while a muted mustard midsole and a sail-coloured outsole anchor the look.
And, of course, paying homage to the “College Dropout” album would be incomplete without the iconic Dropout Bear logo, which sneakerheads can find prominently displayed on the heel.
What We Love About The Sneakers
Despite the controversies surrounding Ye, this design reminds us of his early genius in fashion and music. Not to mention, the inviting, warm colour palette, coupled with the playful bear head detail, crafts an unforgettable visual aesthetic.
