Sneaker artist John Trottier of @johnnyskicks_ has given new life to one of Nike’s most infamous sneaker designs with his Air Jordan 1 High ‘Freddy Krueger’ custom.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The base of this custom shoe is made of a two-toned textile fabric that mimics the character’s memorable striped jumper, while the beige leather overlays that symbolise his gloves are stained red by ominous paint splatter. Then, metallic silver Swooshes are added to the sides to depict the sharp blades that emerge from Freddy’s leather glove. Lastly, a sail midsole and a black rubber outsole finish the pair’s sinister design.
What We Like About The Sneakers
This customised version highlights Freddy Krueger’s distinct attire, much like the unreleased 2007 version that never really was. But here you get the look paired with the Air Jordan 1’s high-top silhouette, which gives it a unique feel, and aged details that add to the sneaker’s overall eerie appearance. It’s definitely a winner in our books.
How To Grab The Air Jordan 1 High “Freddy Krueger”
John Trottier is currently taking orders for this custom remake, but only five pairs will be produced, so it’s essential to get in the queue early. Make sure to DM Trottier on Instagram if you want to be among the fortunate few who get to own these custom kicks.
