2025 marks 35 years of the beloved Air Jordan 5. And what a celebration it’s going to be! Several special collaborations are lined up to mark this milestone, including the bold Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 “Arctic Pink” that gives the Tinker Hatfield-designed model a unique twist.

A Closer Look At The Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 “Arctic Pink”
Awake NY made sure to incorporate some distinctive branding elements to the AJ5, including a big “A” logo on the shoe’s sides and embroidered Awake branding on the tongue. Let’s not forget the shoutout to their home city, “NY,” on the lateral heel of the right shoe.
As for the colour scheme, most of the shoe is coated in a soft Arctic Pink hue, while the tongue branding, midsole spikes, and lining are highlighted with University Red. The shoe also features a Metallic Silver tongue, a black midsole, and a clear outsole below.
That said, the brand will also release a second colourway for those who prefer a darker, more subdued look. The second shoe replaces the pastel pink upper with dark black and the red trimmings with “Racer Blue.” But stay tuned for images of that pair in the coming weeks.

The design’s colour palette and features are not just distinct, they’re daring. Who else would design a shoe with such striking colours and a big netted “A” on the sides? While we believe that Awake NY’s fearlessness paid off, we know that not everyone will like the look.

The current release date for this stunning AJ5 is set for August 16, 2025. These sneakers will retail for $210 USD at Wake NY, with a release on Nike SNKRS likely to follow.
