Custom sneaker artist Javornie Brathwaite (@jsbthecreator) created a “Dark Knight” inspired Air Jordan 6 design that honours the hero’s connection to the ’90s basketball sneaker.

Batman And The Air Jordan 6
Before we get into the specifics of this design, let’s provide some context regarding the relationship between the Dark Knight and Michael Jordan’s sixth signature silhouette. In 1992, Bob Ringwood redesigned a pair of Air Jordan 6 sneakers for Michael Keeton’s take on the Caped Crusader. While the sneakers assume a more boot-like look in the film, the model’s distinguishing characteristics remain. Hence, it feels so fitting to have an all-black version of the AJ6 sporting a Batman theme for all of us sneakerheads to wear with pride.
A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The pair has a sleek black colourway, a bat emblem on its shroud, and stash pockets on the sides that pay homage to The Bats utility belt. And let’s not forget the graphic print on the insoles, which showcases the Bat signal shining above Gotham City.
What We Like About the Sneaker
Even though this all-black Air Jordan 6 design would have been fantastic on its own, the Batman theme elevates it to a whole new level of cool. This sneaker’s oh-so-slight resemblance to Michael Keeton’s pair from the 1992 Batman movie excites us more than just a little. So it’s definitely a thumbs up from us.
