Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 10 first dropped in 1994, during MJ’s short-lived baseball career. While Jordan was swinging bats instead of draining jump shots, the 10 quietly arrived with his career highlights etched into its outsole. By the time he faxed that famous two-word message, “I’m back”, in March 1995, the sneaker had already carved his basketball legacy into rubber. Now, three decades, the fan-favorite “Shadow” colorway is finally returning.
Nike confirmed the Air Jordan 10 “Shadow” will hit shelves on November 19, 2025, with a retail price of $210. As expected, sneakerheads are already preparing for battle. “Need these because I need a dark shoe,” one fan joked on X. Another wasn’t completely sold but admitted defeat anyway: “Something looks off about them but still copping.” If there’s one thing you can count on in 2025, it’s nostalgia winning every single time.

The “Shadow” stays loyal to its roots, blending grey nubuck with black leather and a splash of Bulls-red Jumpman logos on the heel and outsole. The outsole still lists Jordan’s accolades up until his first retirement, basically a résumé you could wear to work if your office dress code wasn’t so strict. One detail missing this time around is the “45” embroidery Jordan briefly wore during his comeback, last seen in the 2008 Countdown Pack. That release paired the 10s with the 13s in a neat little nod to the number 23. The “Shadow” got another retro in 2018, but the upcoming drop is shaping up to be the most faithful yet.
Sneaker culture thrives on reissues like this. The Air Jordan 10 “Shadow” doesn’t reinvent itself, and it doesn’t need to. Sometimes a shoe just has to come back, give people another shot at owning it, and remind everyone that even when Michael Jordan wasn’t playing basketball, his sneakers were still selling.
