A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The sneakers feature black leather overlays, a Swoosh and translucent ankle flap, and a foot X-ray theme on the quarter panels and toe box. The collars display the number 23 in black. The X-ray motif extends to the outsole, with translucent bottoms revealing another image of a foot skeleton. The insole features a Jumpman logo, another skeleton foot graphic, and the words “Even the best get hurt” printed on it.
What We Like About The Sneakers
The design appears to be inspired by Michael Jordan’s foot injury, which kept him out for 64 games during the 1984-1985 season. Of course, when he returned, the GOAT channelled his frustration and anger into one of NBA history’s most iconic performances, scoring an incredible 63 points against the legends of the Boston Celtics’. One thing we can learn from this design is that “even the best get hurt,” but they also strive to get back up.
