Jordan Brand’s most recent women’s exclusive Air Jordan 1 has a unique ‘Polaroid’ design that pays homage to the classic photoshoot behind Michael Jordan’s flying Jumpman logo.

A Closer Look At The Air Jordan 1 Low “Polaroid”
This beautiful sneaker features a Photon Dust, Smoke Grey, Glacier Blue, and Aurora Green colour palette inspired by the Negative Polaroid technique used in the brand’s 1985 Jumpman photo shoot. Most of the upper is covered in buttery pale grey leather, with cyan accents on the toe box, laces, Swooshes, and heel, emphasising the inverted colour scheme of classic Polaroid photographs. The insoles also pay tribute to the iconic moment, with a Polaroid photo of Michael Jordan’s famous jump on the right shoe and an undeveloped film negative of the same image on the left. A translucent outsole and dark grey midsole add to the theme while stylishly completing the look.
What We Like About The Sneakers
We enjoy a good themed release, and what idea could be more appropriate for the AJ1, given that its 40th anniversary is quickly approaching, than a nod to the Jordan Jumpman photo shoot? Our only criticism of this design is that the Polaroid pictures ought to have been positioned at the bottom of the translucent outsoles for greater impact. However, the concept and colour scheme are pretty special overall.
