The Jordan Brand frequently celebrates Michael Jordan’s accomplishments with beautiful sneaker releases. One such pair is the Air Jordan 1 High ‘Rookie Of The Year’ sneaker from 2018. But in case you missed out on that release, the Jumpman Label is preparing to roll out a low-top version of the sought-after design next year.

A Closer Look At The Air Jordan 1 Low “Rookie Of The Year”
For those who are unaware, the colour of this design is inspired by Michael Jordan’s tan jacket from the NBA Awards in 1985. The low-top keeps the same white leather base as its predecessor with “Golden Harvest” nubuck overlays and black side Swooshes to maintain the iconic look. Red “Nike Air” branding also decorates the tongue and matching insoles. It even has the same black and white sole unit instead of the more yellowed look we’ve seen on many recent re-releases. However, despite all the similarities, it’s still unknown whether the release will feature any other references to Jordan’s Rookie of the Year accomplishment, so we still have to wait for official product photos to be released.
What We Like About The Sneakers
While we hope for more innovative concepts from the Jordan Brand in the future, we can’t help but admire the craftsmanship and premium components that seem to be consistent across both the high-top and low-top models. This is undeniably a gorgeous sneaker that would be a worthy addition to any collection.
Release Details
The release of this low-top sneaker is anticipated sometime in spring 2025. Men’s sizes will be available for purchase on Nike.com and select Jordan stores for a retail price of $140 USD.
