Jordan Brand has a wide range of sneaker styles and colourways under its belt. Naturally, in a collection this large, there will always be some standout designs. We’ve put together a list of some models and colour schemes that we believe are pretty unique.
Air Jordan Mule

The Jumpman Label has introduced Jordan Mules for its female clientele, but they’re not your typical loafers. The design boasts a single-piece leather upper, a wide slip-on opening, and a multi-stack platform sole that’s chunkier than Skippy Super Chunk Peanut Butter.
Jordan Melo 1.5

Carmelo Anthony’s first signature shoe for Jordan Brand incorporated elements from the Air Jordan 1 and 2. Despite being a hybrid, these shoes quickly became a must-have of the Jordan line in 2004. Squeaking aside, they have a unique look that Melo fans remember fondly.
Jordan Melo M9

The Jordan Melo M9 has a lot going on. The upper has cut-out overlays with dynamic Flywire straps running through and a textured shank, while the sole unit offers a peek at the Zoom Air cushioning. It’s a pretty distinctive look.
Air Jordan 1 Method of Make V3 “Metallic Silver”

Jordan Brand’s Method of Make series has offered sneakerheads some of the most creative interpretations of the Air Jordan 1 low silhouette. Their newer V3 versions are particularly unique, boasting a mesh base and cutaway overlays. It’s a dramatically different look for the Jordan 1, but still stylish.
Air Jordan 1 Low “Somos Eternos”

Jordan Brand has established a tradition of celebrating Día de los Muertos with stunning Air Jordan 1 designs, but this year’s design might be the most unique yet. Not only has the brand leaned into the colourful aesthetic of the holiday, but they have also incorporated an embossed sun logo on the tongue and cobblestone-textured Swooshes that add an extra layer of meaning to the design.
Air Jordan 7 “Miro”

The Air Jordan 7 “Miro” is not only extremely rare in number but also in appearance. The design honours the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona (when MJ and the Dream Team dominated the basketball court) with abstract graphics by Spanish artist Joan Miró. It also includes five extra sets of laces to represent the Olympic rings. One of the most unique Jordan 7 designs, if not the most unique.
Air Jordan 8 “Doernbecher”

Sneakerheads can always count on Nike’s Doernbecher Freestyle program for some of the most unique twists on Jordan models. In 2014, the design originated from the hands of Caden Lampert, a patient at the hospital who had battled Guillain-Barré syndrome. His Jordan 8 design featured Hyper Blue speckled uppers with cobra graphics, a glow-in-the-dark fingerprint, and an iridescent overlay. It honestly looks like something straight outta Mike’s Space Jam movie.
Air Jordan 22 “Basketball”

Despite being one of the less well-known models in the Jumpman lineup, the Air Jordan 22 still offers some unique looks. One of the more out-of-the-box designs in the Air Jordan 22 collection is the “Basketball” colourway; the basketball shoe is covered in pebbled leather that looks, well, it looks like a basketball. Although it isn’t groundbreaking, it is definitely a fun and unique take on the Air Jordan silhouette.
Awake NY x Jordan 5 “Arctic Pink”

Awake NY’s Jordan 5 collaboration is a nice change-up from the norm. The design boasts the brightest pink uppers with red accents and contrast stitching, but most notably, they replaced the traditional netting at the side with a unique A-shaped pattern. It’s just one of those sneakers that is impossible not to notice.
J Balvin x Jordan 2 Retro (Friends and Family)

Although the Air Jordan 2 isn’t on everyone’s list of favourite Jumpman silhouettes, there are plenty of colourways that make the model worth checking out. MJ’s second signature silhouette looks especially good in its collaboration with Colombian musician J Balvin. The shoe features a subtle cloud pattern on the upper, bright green LEDs on the tongue, and a glow-in-the-dark outsole below. It’s a more fun and light twist on the dress shoe-inspired silhouette.
