A Closer Look At The Sneakers
The Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3 models have been adorned in the Wu-Tang Clan’s signature black and yellow scheme.
Starting with the AJ1, it features a luxurious upper made from smooth black Italian leather, enhanced by embossed crocodile leather on the toe and eye stays. Vibrant yellow tumbled leather highlights the toe box, side Swooshes, and heel, creating a striking contrast.
The AJ3, on the other hand, replaces its classic elephant print with yellow nubuck on the toe and heel. This is combined with smooth black Italian leather on the upper and embossed crocodile leather on the mudguard, eyestays, and collar. Delicate yellow accents, then add a touch of flair to the eyelets.
Additional nods to the ’90s hip-hop legends are embedded throughout the design. Notable tributes include the Wu-Tang logo embroidered on the tongue and heel of the AJ1, alongside the lyrics “Protect” and “Ya Neck” stitched across the heel counters.
For the AJ3, you’ll find custom Wu-Tang back tabs and hang tags that honour the New York rap ensemble. The tongue also features “C.R.E.A.M,” an acronym for “Cash Rules Everything Around Me,” paying homage to one of their most iconic tracks.
