Custom shoe artist John Trottier (@johnnyskicks_) has envisioned a three-way partnership that we all hope will materialise someday: KAWS, Dior, and the iconic Air Jordan 1.

A Closer Look At The Design
This unique Air Jordan 1 design was inspired by the colour scheme of Dior’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection, which was made in partnership with KAWS artist Brian Donnelly. The line included a Dior BFF in black and pink and matching clothes and accessories.
Trottier ensured the sneaker had the same feel by covering the forefoot in black suede, with quarter panels and heels in soft pink fabric. And, of course, KAWS’ signature Mickey Mouse-like hands, which appeared in their official Jordan 4 collaboration, are embroidered throughout the upper.
The shoe is then finished with co-branded elements on the tongue and heel, a black midsole, and a white rubber outsole.
What We Like About The Sneakers
We appreciate that these kicks are directly inspired by a previous KAWS and Dior collaboration. The colour choice is bold and cheerful, and the extra accents make the design that much more fun. It’s difficult not to wish that this three-way collaboration could actually come to pass. And since Jordan Brands has previously collaborated with both KAWS and Dior, it doesn’t seem like such a crazy idea. After all, there’s already chance of a Union x Fragment x Jordan team-up next year, and that’s something that wasn’t on our bingo card for 2025.
