Original Article: The 2025 Jordan Brand sneaker lineup will include yet another iconic colourway to entice OG sneakerheads. This time, the company has delved into its Air Jordan 5 archives to bring out the iconic “Fire Red Black Tongue” colourway that was originally released in the ’90s.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker
The upcoming release will have the same classic white leather upper with a bold black tongue to give the shoe its defining look. The dark colour also accents the eyelets, midsole, and “shark teeth” detailing on the sole unit, while Fire Red accents highlight the sock liner, midsole, and lace locks. Other details include red embroidery of Michael Jordan’s jersey number “23” on the lateral side, as well as translucent mesh tongues and side panels. Finally, a translucent outsole completes the look of the shoe.
What We Like About The Sneaker
Eleven years have already passed since the Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red Black Tongue” was last released in 2013, and the original “Nike Air” branding was not even present on the heel of that shoe. Sneakerheads should thus be thrilled about the possibility of this beloved colourway returning with the original branding and, ideally, an improved shape.
